June 18-20, 2012 - Idaho and Montana

Left Washington and headed to Lakeside, Montana so we could visit the Glacier National Park.  Drove through Idaho and loved the picture taking.  As most of the U.S. this drive was so beautiful.  Really lots of beautiful lakes and the scenery was outstanding.  Stayed a week and enjoyed this area across from the Flathead River.  Glacier National Park was cloudy but the waterfalls and beauty of this park, was well worth the visit. Beautiful Country!

It rained more than it was clear and cold for June.  We had to pull out our jeans and jackets, again.  Again, it was well worth it but will go later in the year next time.  Next back to Idaho to meet the kids.

June 2012 - Wenatchee Washington

June 11, 2012-Left Oregon and worked our way up to Wenatchee Washington.  On the way we stopped and met our Colorado friends, Kathy and John Borja near Seattle, Washington.  Dinner and a great visit.
We then proceeded to go the Wenatchee, passing through Stephens Pass, which has awesome scenery,  and then surprised our nephews, Ernie and Andy (Abbey and Jessica).  While there, we toured the Cherry, Pears, Blueberries and as many orchards as possible.  Abbey's Dad took us to a Cherry factory which was so awesome and we got some fresh cherries right off the assembly line.  Great tour.

We also toured Ohme Gardens which is a beautiful garden and the sites are magnificent.  We went to Chelan and loved the beauty of the lake and the orchards.  We also visited Aplets & Cotlets where they make candy.  This was very interesting and left with lots of candy to give away, of course.  Visited Blueberry Hill and bought 10 lbs of blueberries at only $1 a lb. This is beautiful country and we loved staying here. This is a place we would love to return and stay longer as it is gorgeous.

Portland Oregon June 2012

Stayed at Jantzen Beach RV Park in Portland Oregon.  The highlight of our visit was being able to spend time with our neice, Julie Rocha.  So proud of this girl and her accomplishments.  She took us sightseeing and we fell in love with Oregon.  We spent our birthdays together and she graciously took time off to be with us.

Julie took us to see where my Father was buried, which was the 1st time I had ever been there.  What a beautiful military cemetery.  This was an awesome trip as we saw the Royal Rosarian Gardens, Multnomah Falls and others, ate donuts, pizza, drank beer, etc etc.  We keep wondering why we are gaining weight.  Oh well, we loved our visit and Oregon.

Eugene Oregon - May/June 2012

May 2012 - Stayed in Eugene Oregon to get our rig worked on.  Guess what?  It took 2 weeks to get all the work done.  So needless to say, John and I had plenty of time to travel and see the Oregon coast.  What a beautiful state, both the Mountains and the Ocean. We went to Newport, Oregon and saw the Sea Lions and their pups.  The weather was semi-cold but we love it.

California Visit - Reno Visit - May 2012

May 2012 - Stayed in San Leandro. California at a small RV park called Trailer Haven.  Believe it or not it really wasn't a bad site.  Stayed there two weeks visiting family.  We loved being around Eloy, going to the Pow Wow, Reno, San Francisco, Muir Woods, Beach and so much.  We loved It.  We did a lot in 2 weeks and will always have the memories.

Alcatraz was so awesome with the private tour we were honored with.  We loved our stay.  Thanks to Bonnie and Eloy for some great sight seeing.  We will miss them until next time.

Visiting Aunt Della and Cousin Maxine was one of our highlights going to Reno (Sparks NV).  We had not seen Aunt Della for over 10 years, so what an awesome drive and visit.

April 2012 - El Paso Visit with Brabsons

Visit and a month stay in El Paso Texas April 3rd thru the 31st.  - Awesome visit and Lorilee had surgery on her knee, so this was a great time to be there.  I also got to spend the night with Lo and Gracie.  We had fun doing makeup, and girl stuff.
We enjoyed our stay and did some siteseeing.  John and I rode our bikes and love the walking trails.
Probably our most favorite time was going the the "Family Day" at Union Pacific.  We got to ride the train and could see Mexico really good, plus the Old Rio Grande...
Enjoyed our stay, and it was nice and hot. Will Miss the Kids, but our next adventure to California.

April 2012-Triathlon and Vacation with Kids - Galveston

The kids came to Galveston, Texas to run in a Triathon. We had such a wonderful time with Kallie, Jason and Tristan in Galveston at the end of March.
Jason did awesome in his age group and placed really great in his age category. It was great seeing him and his friends participate in this race.  Over 2000 participants.

We got to have sleep-overs with Tristan.  He loves his Nan and Poppy.  Kallie and Tristan were entertained at beach and swimming pool. Pool more than beach as a lot of debris had come into the beach area. We took them on the Ferry and Tristan was scared of the water, but he survived.  Loved being with the kids.
