El Paso Texas - The Homecoming July 2012

Surprise surprise!!  We decided to surprise Jeremy as he arrived home from Afghanistan.  Got Amanda, Anitra and Lorilee together to go to Ft Bliss and surprise him.  He was so happy but we were happier to see him arrive safe and sound.  What a heartfelt homecoming.

Yellowstone National Park - June/July

June was a busy month for us and we traveled many miles.  Here we are at the tail end of June in Yellowstone with Tristan and Gracie.  Gracie saved her money and flew to Spokane, Washington where we picked her up.  Tristan we picked up in Coeur'd Alene, Idaho.  Thought since we were working our way down to Colorado we would take the kids to Yellowstone.  What an awesome place.  Stayed at Grizzly RV Park, which is very nice.  Just wished they had a swimming pool as it was nice and hot here.  We enjoyed Yellowstone 4 days and the kids loved it. We saw many animals which were, Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Elk, Longhorn Sheep, Coyote, Squirrels, Chipmunks, Eagles, Moose and many many Buffalo.  How awesome was Old Faithful and the beauty of the park. Another great adventure and the scenery was outstanding.
Went to the movies to see "Brave" and what a great movie.  Fun fun fun with the kids.

Courde'Alene, Idaho - June 21 - June 27, 2012

Arrived in Courde'Alene, Idaho to meet the kids for the Ironman Triathlon. So excited to see the Pino family again and partake in the event as cheer leaders for Jason. Again this is beautiful country and we liked it here and could wear our summer clothes here. Jason did great in the event as he did the 140.3 miles, and we applaud him for enduring this race. It was awesome. He did it!!!! We are so proud of him.....way to go Jason's ...both of you did it.

We enjoyed being with Kallie and Tristan during the event as Jason was prepping most of the time and was not around. Hung out at the beach and Tristan loved the cold water.  Kallies, parents, also came and it was great having a BBQ at their place.  Also Big J was in the race so we got to enjoy him and his wifes company.

John and I took time out to go to a Courde'Alene casino and it was fun. We broke even. It was great being with family and friends.  Another place we want to return.  Great weather.

June 18-20, 2012 - Idaho and Montana

Left Washington and headed to Lakeside, Montana so we could visit the Glacier National Park.  Drove through Idaho and loved the picture taking.  As most of the U.S. this drive was so beautiful.  Really lots of beautiful lakes and the scenery was outstanding.  Stayed a week and enjoyed this area across from the Flathead River.  Glacier National Park was cloudy but the waterfalls and beauty of this park, was well worth the visit. Beautiful Country!

It rained more than it was clear and cold for June.  We had to pull out our jeans and jackets, again.  Again, it was well worth it but will go later in the year next time.  Next back to Idaho to meet the kids.

June 2012 - Wenatchee Washington

June 11, 2012-Left Oregon and worked our way up to Wenatchee Washington.  On the way we stopped and met our Colorado friends, Kathy and John Borja near Seattle, Washington.  Dinner and a great visit.
We then proceeded to go the Wenatchee, passing through Stephens Pass, which has awesome scenery,  and then surprised our nephews, Ernie and Andy (Abbey and Jessica).  While there, we toured the Cherry, Pears, Blueberries and as many orchards as possible.  Abbey's Dad took us to a Cherry factory which was so awesome and we got some fresh cherries right off the assembly line.  Great tour.

We also toured Ohme Gardens which is a beautiful garden and the sites are magnificent.  We went to Chelan and loved the beauty of the lake and the orchards.  We also visited Aplets & Cotlets where they make candy.  This was very interesting and left with lots of candy to give away, of course.  Visited Blueberry Hill and bought 10 lbs of blueberries at only $1 a lb. This is beautiful country and we loved staying here. This is a place we would love to return and stay longer as it is gorgeous.

Portland Oregon June 2012

Stayed at Jantzen Beach RV Park in Portland Oregon.  The highlight of our visit was being able to spend time with our neice, Julie Rocha.  So proud of this girl and her accomplishments.  She took us sightseeing and we fell in love with Oregon.  We spent our birthdays together and she graciously took time off to be with us.

Julie took us to see where my Father was buried, which was the 1st time I had ever been there.  What a beautiful military cemetery.  This was an awesome trip as we saw the Royal Rosarian Gardens, Multnomah Falls and others, ate donuts, pizza, drank beer, etc etc.  We keep wondering why we are gaining weight.  Oh well, we loved our visit and Oregon.

Eugene Oregon - May/June 2012

May 2012 - Stayed in Eugene Oregon to get our rig worked on.  Guess what?  It took 2 weeks to get all the work done.  So needless to say, John and I had plenty of time to travel and see the Oregon coast.  What a beautiful state, both the Mountains and the Ocean. We went to Newport, Oregon and saw the Sea Lions and their pups.  The weather was semi-cold but we love it.
